Plan Time for Rectification
Do not schedule the cleaning immediately before key handover if it can be avoided. If the keys have already been handed over, you may lose access. The Housing Dispute Resolution Board states that tenants do not automatically have the right to return and clean after handover without the landlord's permission.
Guarantee Does Not Replace a Clear Agreement
The guarantee normally only covers work that was actually included. Ensure a written work list, price, and limitations. Also check that the provider is approved in the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority's Cleaning Register.
