End-of-tenancy cleaning: Rules and responsibilities for tenants
Upon moving out, the property must be returned in the agreed-upon condition. Unless otherwise agreed, Section 10-2 of the Tenancy Act states that the premises and its accessories must be cleared, cleaned, and in the same condition as when taken over, apart from normal wear and tear and issues the landlord must rectify.

Arrange a final inspection

Don't wait until after the key handover

Request a specific description and photos. Compare the claim with the contract, protocol, and your own photos. If you purchased end-of-tenancy cleaning, report the deviation in writing to the provider immediately and follow the warranty terms.
